Jackie Collins has gained her wings. The New York Times best-selling author died on Sept. 19 after a long battle with breast cancer. She was 77 years old. Her family released a statement and said she was “true inspiration” and will “live on” through her characters.
“It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the death of our beautiful, dynamic and one of a kind mother, Jackie Collins, who died of breast cancer today,” Jackie’s family told PEOPLE in a statement. “She lived a wonderfully full life and was adored by her family, friends and the millions of readers who she has been entertaining for over 4 decades. She was a true inspiration, a trail blazer for women in fiction and a creative force. She will live on through her characters but we already miss her beyond words.”
The Poor Little Bitch Girl and Drop Dead Beautiful author was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in 2009. Jackie was one of the world’s most well-known authors for over four decades. Over 500 million copies of her books have been sold worldwide. The British author just released her newest book, The Santangelos, in June 2015.
“She was my best friend, ” her sister, actress Joan Collins, said. “I admire how she handled this. She was a wonderful, brave and a beautiful person and I love her.”
Jackie is survived by her three daughters, Tracy, 54, Tiffany, 48, and Rory, 46. She also has six grandchildren. Private services will be held in the United States and the United Kingdom. Her legacy will live on forever. We’ll miss you, Jackie.

-Gather a bunch of your friends and family for a party and have everyone put on a T-shirt bearing one of the letters in the phrase, "Will you marry me?" Then during the party suggest a group picture to reveal the message.

In a Nigerian entertainment industry that boasts only a few names in the female DJ category, many are conversant with DJ Lambo and DJ Cuppy as the big shots. However, there are several situations that call to mind Cuppy’s ‘dominance’ over Lambo in entertainment circles, even though MI Abaga has swiftly dispelled this.
Speaking exclusively to Naij.com, rapper/ label executive, MI Abaga, didn’t mince words.
“DJ Lambo is the KING of female disc jockeys in Nigeria,” he said to our correspondent in a private chat.
Is this a veiled allusion to anybody, like DJ Cuppy or anyone else for instance, we ask him?

Africa Magic has announced the call to entry for the 2016 edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCAs) in association with MultiChoice Africa.

For the 4th edition of the AMVCAs, we are inviting all entries for film and television works that are produced and broadcast or publicly exhibited from October 1st, 2014 to September 30th , 2015.”
The AMVCAs were created to celebrate the contribution of African filmmakers, actors and technicians in the success of the continent’s film and television industry and with the success of the previous three editions, preparations for the 2016 edition are underway.

Another version had it that I was involved in an accident and some kind of appeal fund was being raised to help pay for surgeries etc. It’s all false and the handiwork of some jobless fraudsters and scammers. The picture actually does exist, but it was from a movie scene from years back. Someone managed to dig up the picture and decided it was worth their while to use it for their selfish gains. Having said that, I am very well and healthy by God’s special grace”.
After thanking friends, family, colleagues and business associates, Chidi Mokeme added that he is hale and hearty.

A Dean From The University of Calabar Accused of Molesting a 20 Year Old Law Student
A mother has accused the Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Calabar, Prof. Cyril Ndifon, of sexually assaulting her daughter, a 20-year-old 400-level law student (name withheld).
The woman (names withheld), who lives in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, said the incident happened between 3 and 5pm on August 29 at the dean’s private office in the faculty building,
Narrating what happened, the woman said on that day, the dean had set a one-hour test for the students and assigned two lecturers to supervise. 20 minutes to the end of the allotted time, Ndifon entered the hall and ordered the students to stop writing.
According to her, while the students were getting ready to submit their papers, the dean walked to her daughter’s desk, collected her script and tore it into shreds.
The girl reportedly picked up the pieces and put in her bag and as she was leaving, the dean accosted her again and asked if she still had the shredded script. He then told her to follow him to the general dean’s office to recopy the answers on another plane sheet, which she did. He later asked her to follow him to his private office on the second floor so that she could comfortably use the table. Not long after they got to his private office, he allegedly locked the door and started making advances at the girl.
The woman alleged that Ndifon subdued her daughter and forcefully had s*x with her.
She explained that afterwards, her daughter was taken to the Airport police station along IBB Way in Calabar, where she gave statement and also had medical examinations at the police clinic.
The victim was said to have written a complaint to the school authority and they have confirmed receipt of it. However, a lawyer in the school, Innocent Ovat said there was a slight contradiction in the letter the victim sent to the school.
The victim’s letter titled, ‘Report of s*xual assault and harassment by Prof. Cyril Ndifon on me’, read: “He removed his clothes and brought out a condom from his office shelf, wore it and penetrated forcefully and painfully. We heard a knock on the door, he picked his clothes and quickly wore them and acted like everything was normal and then he proceeded to open the door. He left me there and went downstairs with the person that knocked.”
Ovat wondered why the girl did raise an alarm when there was a knock on the door and when it was opened. The public relations officer of the university, Effiong Eyo, said the institution was seriously looking into the matter. The state police public relations officer, Hogan Bassey, said the matter was being investigated. In August, a part-time lecturer of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Afeez Baruwa, was arrested for allegedly defiling an 18-year old girl in Yaba. The school had however, disowned the lecturer, saying he was not on the university’s employee list whether teaching or non-teaching.

Poor Scott! From the sounds of it, Kourtney isn’t going to give him his way any time soon no matter how hard he tries. Besides, he’s not doing anything to publicly prove he wants Kourtney back anyway. The notorious cheater has been spotted with multiple mystery women since their breakup, and on Sept. 9, a report broke that Scott has been partying with a 22-year-old model!
If Scott wants Kourt and their family back, he better figure out what he wants! But E!‘s insider came to Scott’s defense, mentioning that he is “lonely” and that’s what’s resulting in these hookups. Regardless, it’s not going to help convince Kourt to come back to him — especially since her sisters are totally against it!
Whether you’re on Team Scott or not, it’s probably best for Scott to work through his loneliness and prove to Kourtney that she should give him another chance. In the meantime, we’re proud of Kourt for standing her ground until he comes to his senses!

All hail William and Kate! Just after Queen Elizabeth became the longest-reigning British monarch on Sept. 9, a report claims that she wants to pass the throne on. But in an unexpected turn of events, it looks like Prince William and Kate Middleton might be the ones taking it!
Could Kate Middleton, 33, and Prince William, 33, already be crowned King and Queen? According to a new report, that’s exactly what Queen Elizabeth II, 89, wants! The Queen has decided it’s time to give up the throne just after claiming the longest reign of the British monarch. Much to everyone’s surprise, she apparently wants to skip right over her son Prince Charles and give the throne to Kate and William! Read on for more details!
The Queen has made history once and she’s ready to do it again — but that doesn’t mean her decision to completely skip an heir is any less shocking. In fact, she made such a surprising choice, the Queen even caught Will and Kate off guard!
“They’re stunned,” a palace source told OK! magazine. “The idea of having Charles step aside for the good of the monarchy had been whispered about, but they never believed it would happen…When Kate found out, the first thing she did was call her mum and dad. They are absolutely overwhelmed.”
While it may seem like a risky move to pass the title on to a pair of 33-year-olds, it’s not hard to blame the Queen for her supposed decision considering how much their country and the world loves William and Kate — not to mention their adorable children Prince George and Princess Charlotte! Plus, the Queen herself was only 25 when she took the throne, so of course she trusts Will and Kate!
Although this report may make people around the world happy, the Queen’s insistence to skip Charles has apparently been tough for him and his wife, Camilla, to handle. But according to the royal insider, Charles “begrudgingly understands why it’s best for the crown to skip a generation, for the sake of keeping the royal family relevant and vital.”
It’s great that Charles can hear his mother out! If the report is true and the Queen does pass the throne to Will and Kate, the coronation will take place shortly following the Queen’s 90’s birthday next April. We think William and Kate would make an amazing King and Queen, so we can only hope that what the Queen reportedly wants is what she’s really insisting!

Taylor Swift Wears Hand-Knit Sweater Of Herself & It’s Amazing
What a present this is! Taylor was gifted a special knit sweater from one of her super fans at her Denver gig, and it featured on person in particular — herself!
Now Taylor is known for having a very loyal fanbase, with some Swifties even jumping onto to social media to defend her when she comes under fire from other celebrities. But even Taylor couldn’t have expected the thoughtful gift from one devoted fan, who created a handmade peach-colored sweater with a Polaroid pic of the star and gave it to Taylor’s mom at the show.

This is a poem written to honor our soldiers, those who gave their lives for us. It is never an easy thing to willingly die. Let us pay our respects and show support for them by passing this on until it reaches Defense HQ.

I was taught to fight for what I believe in
And that led to my first sin
All my life’s problems were solved with fists
I always caused a scene, until it became a besetting sin
Finally I joined the infantry, where I most felt at home
I come from a people strong and proud, a glorious heritage
There will always be guys like me from age-to-age
For my people, those gone before us
There will be more of us, fighting and fighting
Instead of you, let it be me
My life I dedicated, since I will die, inevitably
When I’m gone, let them remember
Someone else was free, someone else not me
In the end we all die alone
But we boys die alone, together.
I am a soldier and I pay the ultimate sacrifice
Sua sponte which is of my own accord
I pay that which most cannot afford
I give my tomorrow for your today
In the way that I die, I have no say
While your children are counting ABC’s

Another day fighting, another one closer to death day

Those who survived are forever scarred
